Stale Solbakken has identified a need to shift at least seven players before he is fully happy with his squad.

Ahead of tonight's home clash with Barnsley, he told the Express & Star- It’s not healthy to work with 30 players. Some are a long way from being in the team and the ideal number to work with is maybe 23 or 24 players so they all feel very much a part of things. I’ve had two, three or four conversations with all of the players so they know where they stand. Some may feel hard done by because they’re not in the plans. Half the 30 players are unsettled and don’t know what the future holds. But that happens when clubs go down.”.

Eggert Jonsson and Danny Batth are now widely rumoured to have joined the boss's transfer list, alongside Nenad Miljas, Adam Hammill, and a number of youngsters, though it is not known whether they will move on a permanent or loan basis if clubs are found for them- with Hammill linked to Nottingham Forest and Batth linked to another loan move after a successful spell with Sheffield Wednesday last season.
