Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has gone on record with his admiration of Matt Jarvis. The Potters gaffer told Sky Sports that  "I like Jarvis. There are a lot of players I like, but whether I can bring them to the football club, that is a different matter. Jarvis is a very, very good player that we have liked for a long time.".

In related developments, West Ham's attempts to take the winger to Upton Park appear to have hit a snag, with Hammers boss Sam Allardyce admitting that the deal is in limbo for now- "It is stuck - that's the answer. I don't know how that will pan out now. I think that we'll just have to wait and see. For me, it is on the backburner because Saturday is the most important thing for me and then if it is to be done after Saturday we'll see where we are. We have got to try to agree something with Wolverhampton Wanderers. That is the issue we have at the moment, before we get into what the player wants or doesn't want."
