The Kent News today reports that Gillingham assistant manager Ian Hendon is to be appointed to Hammers boss Sam Allardyce's backroom staff.

The new Hammers boss had told the East London Advertiser that  “We are looking at people at the moment and hopefully we will have someone in place in time for the trip to Switzerland.”, when asked about his coaching staff.
