Losing Cole would mean that Sam Allardyce will be looking for another striker to bolster his options, as West Ham now have only Frederic Piquionne as a recognised striker, with Freddie Sears and Zavon Hines as backup given that Demba Ba has been sold to Newcastle and both Victor Obinna and Robbie Keane have come to the end of their loan deals with the club.
