After six years of being at Upton Park, it seems that Carlton Cole could be leaving East London as claims that Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has beaten newly-promoted QPR to his signature.

It seems that the striker will head up to Stoke for talks today, after the Hammers accepted a £6m bid that was double the price the Potters had originally offered. Losing Cole would mean that Sam Allardyce will be looking for another striker to bolster his options, as West Ham now have only Frederic Piquionne as a recognised striker, with Freddie Sears and Zavon Hines as backup given that Demba Ba has been sold to Newcastle and both Victor Obinna and Robbie Keane have come to the end of their loan deals with the club.
