Hammers look to shift Cole while still pursuing Campbell

According to a report in the Guardian, newly-promoted QPR are set to swoop for West Ham United striker Carlton Cole.

If Cole does move to Loftus Road, then Sam Allardyce will be looking for a ready made replacement. That player is likely to be DJ Campbell. Apparently the Hammers are still persuing the striker after it was reported last friday that the East Londoners may miss out on signing him because he would rather stay in the Premier League.

The speculation with Campbell and West Ham happened after QPR had let their interests be known regarding the Blackpool Striker. However, he headed straight for talks with the Hammers instead.
