West Ham United have appointed Martyn Margetson as their new goalkeeping coach following the departure of David Coles on Saturday, according to talksport.co.uk.

With Margetson's club Cardiff City appointing Malky Mackay as their new manager following the sacking of Dave Jones last month, the former Bluebirds keeper has decided to move on and is set for a new challenge in East London.

With Sam Allardyce also giving his backroom stuff a shuffle, Margetson will now work with first choice keeper Robert Green and the rest of the goalkeepers at Upton Park.

Margetson will come up against his former colleagues when the two club's meet on the first day of the season.
