Anton Ferdinand looks set to be leaving the Hammers after turning down a bumper new pay deal.

Despite being offered terms three times the amount he is currently earning (which is unlikely to be that low, bearing in mind Robert Green, on £20,000 a week reportedly, said he was the lowest paid first teamer), Ferdinand has turned down the offer.

The new deal, according to the Mirror, would mean the former England Under-21 star would have earned over £2 million a year.

Despite wanting to stay on at the club, Ferdinand is looking for more money from the side, even though the board is looking to save money on wages in the coming year.

Ferdinand reportedly turned down a move to Newcastle recently, and seeing as Tottenham and Aston Villa have both either signed or are likely to sign defenders from other clubs, he may be 'forced' to accept the deal.
