With West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce seemingly in the middle of a shake-up of the backroom staff at Upton Park today's Daily Mirror reports that after Kevin Keen turned down a new deal yesterday, he looked set to join Kenny Dalglish's new regime at Liverpool.

During his time in East London Keen was caretaker manager of the side twice. Firstly, taking charge of the side for the trip to West Bromwich Albion on 13th of September 2008, before the appointment of Giafranco Zola to replace Alan Curbishley. Just recently following the departure of Avram Grant, he again took charge of the club's final Premier League game which resulted in a 3-0 defeat at home to Sunderland.

When Zola's appointment was confirmed on 18th September 2008 he quickly move to promote Keen from reserve team manager to first team coach.

Keen also played for the Hammers between 1986 and 1993 before becoming U-17 Academy coach in 2002.

The backroom reshuffle also meant the end of Paul Groves and David Coles' time at Upton Park, however there is still a place for Wally Downes in Allardyce's new setup as the club looks for an immediate return to the Barclays Premier League.
