The Hampshire Chronicle today reports that West Ham have been given a home tie against Aldershot Town in the first round of this season's Carling Cup.

Shots boss Dean Holdsworth has previously spoken of his desire to manage the Irons in the future, and had said before the draw that 'It would be fantastic to draw West Ham, the team I grew up supporting. And I’d love to be on the bench with Sam on the next door one. I haven't spoken to Sam since he took over at West Ham as he's been in Spain, but I'll be giving him a call soon for a catch-up."
