Sam outlines first two targets

With the summer transfer window now open, matters on that front seem to be well under way now at Upton Park.

The usual suspects are still being talked about as the players that will leave, with the likes of Scott Parker, Carlton Cole and Robert Green. Matthew Upson and Kieron Dyer are out of contract and will not be offered new deals by the East London outfit and are being touted by a number of Premier League and Championship clubs.

Mentioned among the names that might be coming in is Kevin Nolan, who the club have reportedly tabled a £3m offer for, who Sam Allardyce has previously worked with at both Bolton and Newcastle. He has also had previous Championship experience with the Tyneside club.

This morning's Daily Telegraph reports that if the Nolan deal is completed, he will be swiftly followed through the door at Upton park by Blackpool's DJ Campbell, although Campbell has expressed his desire to stay in the top division.
