Sullivan hints at Yak break-off

West Ham United co-owner David Sullivan has all but ended the club's interest in Everton striker Yakubu.

Having had two previous bids rejected as they were well below Everton's asking price, Sullivan has now effectively cooled on the deal as he believes that Yakubu is only worth £1-2million rather than the £8million that the Toffees are asking for.

Instead, Hammers' boss Avram Grant has turned to Manchester City's Felipe Caicido, who is believed to have started talks at Upton Park.
