Marchetti linked with Hammers

Today's Daily Mail claims that should Robert Green leave Upton Park this summer, then West Ham United have been offered Cagliari's Frederico Marchetti as a replacement.

Green has recently been linked with Fulham if Mark Schwarzer is seriously considered by Arsenal, a club Green has also long been linked with.

However, when new Cottagers' boss Mark Hughes was officially unveiled yesterday he denied claims that Schwarzer was soon to be leaving the West London outfit.

West Ham boss Avram Grant on the other hand, would like to keep Green but is in the market for a back-up keeper and Marchetti is just one of a number of names being mentioned.
