Portsmouth's administrator Andrew Andronikou has told the Portsmouth Evening News that a move to West Ham for defender Tal Ben Haim collapsed due to his wage demands. Article continues below

It is rumoured that he wanted around £38,000 a week at Upton Park, and Andronikou said "West Ham are interested and there is a Greek team. We are hoping to meet both to try to get things going," he added.

"The problem has been West Ham are not willing to pay the player what he has been earning here and there is a gap between the two'.

"Hopefully, something can be sorted very, very soon."
