Another Yak Bid Rejected

West Ham United's saga of trying to prize away Yakubu from Everton continues as today's Daily Mail reports that the Hammers have had their latest bid of £7million rejected.

Reports earlier this week claimed that the East London club had a £4million bid turned down; Toffee's boss David Moyes was looking for a figure closer to £6million.

Everton paid Middlesborough £11.25million three years ago; the latest speculation is that Everton are looking to recoup most of this fee.

Yakubu has said he wants to move away from Goodison Park but in today's market and given his recent injury record, Gold and Sullivan might be reluctant to risk this amout of capital on a 27 year old striker.
