Rumours today are circulating that West Ham United are to make a bid for fiery Hull winger Stephen Hunt. Hunt is expected to be sold by the Championship side, who are desperate to cut the wage bill. The Irish international is thought to be one of the club's highest earners and it has emerged that West Ham are listed amongst the interested clubs. At present there is no indication of a fee, however the Hammers would be expected to match what the Humberside club paid for the 28-year old when he signed from Reading in 2009.

West Ham are thought to have to do battle to secure Hunt's signature with Wolves and recently promoted West Brom said to be following his progress. The former Reading man would bring some undoubted qualities to the West Ham side, such as his attacking prowess, goals and a fierce tenacity, however the omens are not good when they suggest that Hunt has suffered relegation with every club that he has appeared for. |
