Reports are emanating from the Daily Express that Bobby Zamora has all but signed for relegation beaters Fulham for £6.5 million.

The striker, who came to Upton Park from Tottenham in 2004 as part of the old Jermaine Defoe deal, has always been a crowd favourite but never really established himself in the first team.

The rise to prominence of strikers like Dean Ashton and Craig Bellamy, while Carlton Cole and Freddie Sears have been more than adequate back up strikers.

We all know he's scored pivotal goals in the promotion and relegation campaigns of recent years, and it would be great if he could stay, but right now it seems he's going to be off looking for first team action.

If he could be sold for £6.5 million, that would be a really good sum too for a fifth choice player.

Roy Hodgson is also interested in Hammers defender John Paintsil, even though the stopper has declared he wants to stay.

West Ham chief executive Scott Duxbury said: "We recognise they had limited first-team opportunities last season...They want regular football and we have given them permission to speak to Fulham with a view to a move."

Off or on as moves go? You decide. Well, you don't, but if you could, would you? Hmmm?
