Repoprts claim that West Ham United have enquired about Stoke City defender Robert Huth, fuelling speculation that Mathew Upson may well be leaving the club.

Hammers boss Gianfranco Zola knows Huth as they were team mates at Chelsea.

 It has been widely rumored that Upson could leave due to the clubs financial situation, and his world cup ambitions may not be best served with a team struggling for Premier League survival.

Upson only has 18 months left on his contract and both Tottenham and Liverpool have been linked with the £8m England defender.
