Reports in today's Daily Express claim that former boss Alan Curbishley could be in-line for a return to West Ham United if the takeover bid proposed by David Sullivan and the Gold brothers goes through.

Sullivan has made enquiries about Curbishley returning, but he would only do so if certain members of the current board were removed.

Curbishley originally left because of boardroom decisions to sell Anton Ferdinand and George McCartney against his wishes.

There have been reports in the media that Curbishley is still due a £2m compensation from the club after he won a case of constructive dismissal last month.
