Cabanas heading to Upton Park?

West Ham United, who currently seem to be linked with possible transfer moves for strikers, have been alerted to the availability of Club America striker Salvador Cabanas, claim the News of the World.

Despite the Hammers' current financial restraints, they are still keen to make a deal for the former South American player of the year.

Cabanas' Agent Jose Maria Gonzalez has had talks about the forward's future and one strong option is believed to be a switch to Upton Park to work under Gianfranco Zola.

Cabanas, 29, is understood to be on his way out of Club America and sources in Mexico claim he could be destined to link up with Guillermo Franco in East London.
