We've all heard the rumours, watched Sky Sports News and bought the T-Shirt, but is Barcelona striker Eidur Gudjohnsen going to be pulling on a new kind of red-and-blue next season?

A dash of £5 million would be enough to snare the talents of the former Chelsea and Bolton striker, who has been told he has no future at Camp Nou.

The 29 year old has been in good form this year for the Catalan giants, but would likely favour a move back to the Premier League, and West Ham's new Icelandic connections would help to make his entrance to East London all the more likely.

Other clubs, including Portsmouth, Newcastle and Panathinaikos are also rumoured to be in the chase, but Curbs seems to be the only one actually working on bringing the striker over.

The only problem with this move would mean some changes to the current strike force, which makes sense given Carlton Cole is currently being linked with all and sundry hanging around the foot of the table.
