Sunderland are the only club that have shown an interest so far and the deal could cost as little as £4-5m.

The Hammers are aware that there could be a bid in a matter of weeks and their scouts are out and about looking at new keepers. Coach Kevin Keen watched Huddersfield's highly-rated Alex Smithies last week.

Green's current deal comes to an end in the summer and it seems that Green is in no hurry to sign an extension.
