Lazio striker Goran Pandev has told a Macedonian TV station that he is not ready to consider a move to West Ham United. Various reports in the Italian media had suggested that the Hammers were ready to bid up to £5 million for the player, who is a full Macedonian international. He is currently locked in a legal dispute with his club alongside team mates Cristian Ledesma and Lorenzo Di Silvestri having so far refused to sign an extension to his contract- which has a year to run.

He told A1 that there was ‘no truth’ in the stories linking him to West Ham and it was ‘not what I desire’ at the moment, but also refused to rule out a move away from Stadio Olimpico.   Club president Claudio Lotito is believed to be consulting lawyers, and has told the media that ‘When a player publicly states he wants to leave and won’t renew his contract, other sides will wait for him to become a free agent. That is damaging to the club financially and  this is why we are approaching the matter through legal means’.
