Stoke City have again been linked with West Ham striker Dean Ashton. The Potters have reportedly made a £5.5 million bid, with Hull City also said to be monitoring his situation although they are yet to make an official bid.


However West Ham seem reluctant to sanction any deal as they are short of experienced forwards and see Ashton as a key part of their squad for next season to help the Hammers rise up the Premier League table.
