Reports in the Spanish media today suggest that Barcelona are willing to consider offloading reported West Ham target Eidur Gudjohnsen for a fee of around £5 million.

Manager Gianfranco Zola has refused to rule out a swoop to bring his former Chelsea team mate to Upton Park from the Nou Camp.

The player’s agent, Arnor Gudjohnsen, told Sky Sports News that he had seen various rumours and that there had been interest from around Europe.

And there was a preference on his client’s part to return to England, as he ‘knows everything in England and it would seriously appeal to him’.

Eidur first arrived in England in 1998 after signing for Bolton from KR Reykjavik in his homeland.
