Four of the club’s youngsters have earned the opportunity to press for further honours after signing new one year Hammers contracts.

Midfielder Ollie Lee is the latest to commit; following in the footsteps of youth side skipper Matt Fry, defender Tony Brookes and forward Anthony Edgar. Article continues below

And Lee told www.whufc.com  that he was ‘delighted, and can’t wait to get started’ having made 21 starts for the Academy side alongside 11 in the reserves last season.

He is now hoping to go out on loan to gain valuable first team experience, having seen the benefits such arrangements gave his team mates last season, notably Junior Stanislas, who spent a spell with Southend last season.
