Despite maintaining that he is happy at Upton Park, Gianfranco Zola could still be on his way to Stamford Bridge after Luiz Felipe Scolari was sacked. Fans have been joined by some media outlets suggesting that Zola could be in the frame for the Blues job, despite lacking the necessary experience. Zola himself, despite maintaining he was happy at the club, refused to rule himself out of the job: "In football you never know what lies round the corner but I have no intention of walking out on West Ham," Zola told the Mirror. Frightening Other names mentioned include Sven Goran Eriksson and Guus Hiddink, but Zola's name has been moving around the message boards at a frightening rate. We hope that he doesn't leave the club just when results are starting to show, but as he says, we never know what happens in football. However, it seems that he seems set on staying at the club, and if he stays then it will be the proof that he's committed to the club. Or, and more likely, he was never offered the job and the media has made him look good with no effort on his part. If you want to share your view on Uncle Zola, then head on over to the message board where a whole host of fun and frolics will resume. Oh, and the UptonSparks 5-a-side team, Hammered Again, will be resuming service once more tonight after a long lay off where we trained hard with pies, beer and chairs. Comfy, comfy chairs.
