According to multiple news sources in Italy, the deal for Brescia's Ugandan attacker Nsereko Savio is all but tied up.

Mediagol is reporting that a fee of around £9 million has been struck for the 19 year old, who learned his trade playing in Germany. Even the president of Brescia, Gino Corioni, is saying the deal is done.

The Italian press is rife with quotes that Nani, who worked with the player at Brescia, was looking to tie up a deal within the next few days, having spoken with the players representatives last week.

The player, who signed for Brescia aged 16, was also wanted by a whole host of other Italian clubs, including Roma and Genoa.

Voted player of the tournament at the Under-19 Euro championship, a £9 million transfer fee seems a bit steep for a player that would appear to be at a comparable level to Freddie Sears rather than a direct replacement for Craid Bellamy.
