West Ham United ended September with a 2-2 draw against AFC Bournemouth at The Vitality Stadium. Now they will be hoping to build on that and sign off for October's international break by winning their latest London derby when Crystal Palace visit Stratford for Saturday's late kick-off.

After going third in the table following last weekend's draw with the Cherries and due to other results, they now find themselves fifth and could slip further, depending on the outcomes of the 3pm kickoffs.

The hosts have the omens on their side here however, as their recent form against the Eagles is favourable. They haven't lost to them since February 2015 when they suffered a 3-1 defeat to a side managed by former Irons' boss Alan Pardew.

When the two teams last met here back in December, Roy Hodgson's side took an early lead, only for the hosts to find a way back into the game and claim all three points to win a thrilling encounter 3-2.

Although the Hammers are still unbeaten since the opening day of the campaign, it is the visitors who come into this game off the back of a victory, as they beat newly-promoted Norwich City 2-0 at home last time out.

Lukasz Fabianski picked up a hip injury in the first-half of the match in Dorset last weekend and will be out of action for at least two months. Roberto Jiménez Gago is likely to deputise for him with fellow summer signing David Martin being involved in competitive first-team action for the first time from the bench.

Manuel Lanzini certainly made an impact when he was introduced in place of Pablo Fornals against Eddie Howe's men and he will be desperate for a first start since the goalless draw at Aston Villa on 16 September.

Aaron Cresswell was again amongst the scorers last weekend and has probably cemented his place in the side for another week.

Saturday's match is a 5:30pm kick-off with live coverage being screened by Sky Sports from 5pm. The referee is Michael Oliver.
