West Ham United faced Manchester United in Stratford last season and picked up a 3-1 victory. With the Red Devils currently not in great form, the Hammers will be hoping for a similar outcome this afternoon.

After the goalless draw with last season's Sky Bet Championship play-off winners Aston Villa six days ago, Manuel Pellegrini's side begin another big week for the club in all competitions with the visit to Oxford United in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday, before it's back to Premier League action next Saturday and a visit to The Vitality Stadium to take on AFC Bournemouth.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær's side have been less than convincing so far this campaign, although they did manage to pick up three points in their last league outing against Leicester City, thanks to a Marcus Rashford penalty. The East Londoners may fancy their chances of a repeat victory as the visitors are still looking for their first away win of the campaign, having failed to beat both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Southampton despite going ahead in each encounter.

The hosts will be the fresher of the two sides as the visitors were involved in UEFA Europa League action on Thursday.

Pellegrini named an unchanged side for the third successive game at Villa Park on Monday night but he will have to make alterations for this encounter given that Arthur Masuaku was harshly sent off for two bookable offences. Aaron Cresswell will be the most likely option to fill in although Pablo Zabaleta is also an option at left-back.

Angelo Ogbonna may also be rested in favour of Fabián Balbuena in the defence, while either Robert Snodgrass, Jack Wilshire or Pablo Fornals will replace Manuel Lanzini, if he fails a late fitness test on a minor injury.

The match kicks off at 2pm and for the second consecutive game, live coverage will be screened by Sky Sports from 1pm. The referee is Anthony Taylor.
