The draw for the third round of the Carabao Cup was made on Wednesday night and West Ham United are on their travels once more, as they face a trip to The Kassam Stadium and take on Sky Bet League One side Oxford United. The tie will be played on Wednesday 25 September with kick-off at 7:45pm.

West Ham will again face opponents who have beaten a side from a higher division, as Karl Robinson's team came through a penalty shootout against Sky Bet Championship outfit Millwall after a 2-2 draw, whereas the Hammers had a much easier night, beating Sky Bet League Two opposition in Newport County at Rodney Parade.

Although Manuel Pellegrini's men survived a few scares in the first-half, they nullified the threat of Michael Flynn's troops and came away with the 2-0 victory.
