After Josh Cullen re-signed for Charlton Athletic earlier today, in the last few hours it has been confirmed that another West Ham United youngster has left Stratford for a season-long loan spell in the Sky Bet Championship. Grady Diangana has joined former Hammers' manager Slaven Bilic at West Bromwich Albion.

The 21-year-old Academy graduate never got to play under the new Baggies' Head-Coach during the Croatian's tenure in Stratford but Broke into the first-team under current manager Manuel Pellegrini.

Once he was installed as manager in East London in June 2018, Pellegrini seemed keen to assess some of the club's youngsters and handed the midfielder his first start in West Ham's 8-0 Carabao Cup home win over Sky Bet League Two side Macclesfield Town.

The player obviously impressed the Chilean, as he was named amongst the substitutes just three days later in the 3-1 home victory over Manchester United. He was introduced late on in that game giving him his Premier League bow.

Due to his great skill, Diangana quickly made his first league start and remained in the team for a number of games until Pellegrini decided it was time to give him a break.

From that point on, he found it hard to regain his place in the side for the remainder of last campaign.

He did however feature in the majority of West Ham's recent pre-season friendlies but he did miss a penalty against Athletic Club Bilbao which handed the Spaniards the 2019 betway Cup last Saturday.
