It's been the transfer that has dragged on through various windows but today, Reece Oxford has finally said farewell to West Ham United as he has joined German club FC Augsburg on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

The defender had a previous loan spell at Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga, when the club were under the stewardship of Slaven Bilic in the 2017/18 campaign. Later that season he was called back by David Moyes, who had replaced the Croatian after a poor run of results, as the Scotsman wanted to assess all his options.

When Moyes left East London and was replaced by current boss Manuel Pellegrini in the summer of 2018, he then decided to send Oxford out on loan to Augsburg who have now put an end to this protracted transfer.

With the transfer window closing on Thursday there could be more movement both in and out of Stratford. If anything happens, this site will keep its readers up to date.
