After seeing youngster Josh Pask leave Stratford last month, another player has now left West Ham United as Development Squad midfielder Marcus Browne has joined Sky Bet Championship side Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee, believed to be £300,000.

Browne only made one first-team appearance during his West Ham career in their UEFA Europa League match away at FC Astra Giurgiu in August 2016. Other than that, he has only played first-team football on loan at various clubs including a spell at Sky Bet League One outfit Oxford United last season.

News of this deal only emerged on Friday and after completing a medical, the midfielder has signed a four-year deal on Teeside.

Jonathan Woodgate's latest recruit will team up with a familiar face at The Riverside Stadium, as goalkeeper Darren Randolph remains a regular fixture in their first-team.
