Although the summer transfer window for permanent deals in England closed on Thursday, the clubs in the Football League are still able to loan players until the end of the month.

It was confirmed late on Friday night that West Ham United defender Sam Byram has left East London to join Sky Bet Championship outfit Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan.

Byram was a West Ham fan as a youngster and got his dream move in January 2016 when Slaven Bilic brought him to Upton Park.

So far in his Hammers' career he has made 36 appearances in all competitions but is yet to score.

The right back isn't the only player to leave for a club in the Championship this week, as striker Jordan Hugill joined Middlesbrough on Wednesday.

The former Leeds United man may feature for his new club in today's fixture at home to Reading.

There is talk of more players leaving Stratford on a temporary basis and when any deals are concluded this site will have the details.
