West Ham target Antonito has admitted he has heard the rumour about his possible transfer to the East London club, but says nothing concrete has been heard.

The Xerez DC star would be seen as an ideal, albeit short term, replacement for Dean Ashton, whose comeback from injury does not have a definite date as yet and could extend into the new year.

Antonito, 30, said: 'I've heard the rumours but I still haven't spoken to anybody about it.'

His full name is Antonio Ramiro Perez, and he currently plays in the Spanish version of the Championship, which makes the rumour seem less likely.

However, Antonito is quickly ebcomign highly rated in his home country, and could be looking to make one final move abroad before his career ends.
