West Ham are apparently hoping Zabeel Investments, the buyers looking to table a bid for Charlton, will be attracted to another London club.

The Hammers have been looking for a cut price buyer, and with the price falling to a fraction of what Bjorgolfur Gudmundsson paid for the club, the Dubai group could be willing to switch their interest.

They are said to have already tabled a bid for the Hammers, but Gudmundsson has knocked it back, despite being in financial difficulties.

Zabeel Investments are owned by the Dubai Royal family, so at least they have the cash to hold on to the likes of Dean Ashton and Robert Green.

Or, they could buy another ground, and play matches over the two grounds, with the players running between each at half time.

That would double matchday revenues... UptonSparks hereby copyrights that idea.

Oh... and the deal would make West Ham the second richest club in the world, by the way.
