The draw for the third-round of the EFL Cup was made on Wednesday evening and West Ham United's run in this years competition will start with a home tie against Sky Bet League Two side Accrington Stanley.

John Coleman's team progressed to this stage, thanks to a 1-0 extra-time victory over newly-promoted Premier League side Burnley on Wednesday and will hope to take another top-flight scalp but might find that the Hammers are a tougher nut to crack.

Last year in the competition, Slaven Bilic's men suffered a 2-1 extra-time defeat to fellow Premier League side and eventual Champions Leicester City at the King Power Stadium and they will certainly not want to make an early exit this time around, especially not to a lower league side at their new home.

The tie will be played on Wednesday 21 September with kick-off at 7:45pm.
