Despite being pulled over for alleged drunk-driving in the week, Carlton Cole was the centre of attention by scoring the opening goal in the 2-1 win over Fulham.

"Cole was absolutely perfect - he realised he has made a mistake and he took the fine in the right way and he played a fantastic match today and I couldn't ask any more from him," Zola said.

The Italian was happy with the whole team ethic he has put together, and acknowledged that despite the fact the run will stop soon, he is still very pleased with the results as they stand.

"It has been a very good start and I could not ask for anything more, but I also like the attitude of the players.

"You have to be consistent against a team like Fulham because they are a good side and my concern was because I know they are a team that likes to press the opposition, that maybe my team wouldn't try to play football."

What would they try to doi instead, crochet them into submission? Book them all a course of Indian cookery lessons and distract them from scoring?

Now's the time to start worrying about Zola's tactics...

And me too... mine's a Carlsberg.
