West Ham are apparently part of a new consultation to move to the Olympic Stadium being built for the 2012 Olympics once the games are over.

Both the Hammers and Tottenham Hotspur have previously been dubbed front runners to take over the site after London 2012, but neither's interest has been followed up with anything concrete.

However, with Bo-Jo in charge of the ol' London town these days, the whole issue has reared its head once more.

The new West Ham owners seem again receptive, but apparently the issues are with what the stadium will look like after the games.

Rugby or football?

Plans are now in place to scale the 80,000 seater stadium to just 25,000 making it more applicable to a lower league club, or a rugby side.

But now there's chat that it could be pegged at 50,000, which would be the perfect size for a club like the Hammers.

And for that issue of the running track... well the seating could even fold back in the same manner as the Stade de France, though that would be complex and likely a bit too expensive in today's economic climate.

Who knows... the only thing for sure is Manchester City have got a world class stadium that they rent from the local council for a great rate thanks to the Commonwealth games a few years back.

Shouldn't a London club have the same privileges? (I.e West Ham, by the way).
