After progressing to the fifth-round of the FA Cup last weekend following the win over Bristol City, West Ham United will be looking to follow up the victory against Hull City last time out, as they face a trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

The Hammers have the chance to do the double over the Reds this season, as they recorded an astonishing 3-1 victory at Upton Park back in September.

The corresponding fixture last season ended in a resounding victory for the home side back in December 2013, as the Reds eased to a 4-1 triumph.    West Ham are the fresher of the two sides going into the game as just like the encounter in East London, Brendan Rodgers' side had a game in midweek and were taken to extra time, as they were knocked out of the Capital One Cup at the semi-final stage losing 2-1 in the tie overall.

Carl Jenkinson, James Collins, Joey O'Brien, Alex Song and James Tomkins all face fitness tests ahead of the game. Guy Demel is however available to partner Aaron Cresswell in defence, while 16-year-old Reece Oxford is in the squad as cover and may play some part.

Cheikou Kouyate could return to the midfield following Senegal's elimination from the African Nations Cup. Matt Jarvis is also pushing for a start.  Diafra Sakho is in contention for a return to league action after scoring the goal that clinched the win over the Robins at Ashton Gate.    Stephen Hendry signed from Hamilton Academicals this week but will not join up with his new teammates until the summer, while there are reports that the club are on the verge of completing a deal to bring Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher to Upton Park after he underwent a medical earlier.
Saturday's match is a 3pm kick-off and the referee is Andre Marriner.
