After last week's break for the FA Cup, the Barclays Premier League returns this weekend and West Ham United head to Wales to take on Swansea City at The Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The two teams met last month and although the Swans took the lead, in the end the East Londoners romped to an emphatic 3-1 victory, claiming their eighth win of the season.

Both teams were involved in FA Cup action this week but Swansea will be the fresher of the two sides going into this encounter, as they have had a week's rest, following their 6-2 victory over Tranmere Rovers, whereas the Hammers had to wait until Tuesday to travel to Merseyside to take on the Toffees.

After less than satisfactory results over the festive period, the Hammers will be desperate to record their first win of 2015. On the other hand, if Garry Monk and Swansea were to achieve three points, they would go level on points with their opponents.

Big Sam and his side will hope for a better result than the last time that the Hammers travelled here, as they were held to a goalless draw.

Assistant manager Neil McDonald spoke to the media at the pre-match press conference this morning and confirmed that the Irons have a near fully fit squad to choose from. Striker Diafra Sakho is the only absentee due to the back injury he suffered in the draw against West Bromwich Albion on New Year's Day, meaning that Andy Carroll could be partnered by Enner Valencia upfront. Otherwise Alex Song, Mark Noble and club captain Kevin Nolan are all in contention to start.

Saturday's match kicks off at 3pm and the referee is Mike Dean.
