After suffering back-to-back defeats for the first time this season, West Ham United will be looking to kick off 2015 by returning to winning ways as they take on West Bromwich Albion in a New Year’s Day encounter at Upton Park.

The Hammers will be hoping to do the double over the Baggies after their 2-1 win at The Hawthorns at the beginning of December to maintain their challenge at the top of the table.

Once again for a fixture between these two sides the visitors will be under new management; Rob Kelly and Keith Downing take charge of the side ahead of Alan Irvine's replacement Tony Pullis who is likely to be watching on from the stands.

The home fans will be hoping for a less dramatic score line than the corresponding fixture last term, as the lead fluctuated and eventually finished in a 3-3 draw.

Sam Allardyce looks set to welcome back Carl Jenkinson after the defender missed the game against his parent club Arsenal on Sunday. James Collins will also slot into the defence taking the place of the suspended James Tomkins. Mark Noble is expected to regain his place in midfield.

Matt Jarvis, Ricardo Vaz Te, Carlton Cole and Enner Valencia are all in contention.

Mauro Zarate is reported to be on the move, with speculation of a loan deal to Queens Park Rangers to be completed during the January transfer window.

The match is a 3pm kick-off and the referee is Jonathan Moss.
