West Ham United will look to get back to winning ways this weekend after going three without a victory when Newcastle United come to Upton Park on Saturday afternoon.

After a dismal start to the season themselves, Alan Pardew's side have picked up recently and have replaced the Hammers in fourth place by claiming another three points at home to Queens Park Rangers last time out.

The Irons can displace the Magpies in fourth if they were to pick up their first win since 25 October, as they produced a stunning performance to defeat Manchester City in front of the Upton Park faithful.

Stewart Downing is back in training and code feature, while Mark Noble and  Cheikou Kouyate will have to be assessed. Noble was substituted late on against the Toffees due to picking up a knock. Mauro Zarate is also looking to start after coming off the bench to good effect last weekend.

Sam Allardyce is still missing Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia, meaning there is almost certainly a chance for Andy Carroll to make his first home start since the end of last season.

Kevin Nolan is likely to replace Alex Song who is still out while James Tomkins will more than likely partner James Collins in defence, as Winston Reid will miss the game through suspension.

Saturday's match is a 3pm kick-off and Mike Dean takes charge.
