Before the last international break, West Ham United beat newly-promoted Queens Park Rangers 2-0 at Upton Park and they will be hoping to get a similar result going into the next one, as Aston Villa are the visitors to East London on Saturday afternoon.

In February where the Hammers won all four of their games, Sam Allardyce was awarded the Barclays Manager of the Month. The next game was a narrow 1-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park. Having been given the accolade again for October, and given his teams impressive run of form, he will not want to end their current hot streak with defeat to a team who have not won in six and have not scored in five.

The home side go into the game having battled back from 2-0 down to earn a point at Stoke City last time out and although Paul Lambert's side took the lead in their game against Tottenham Hotspur at Villa Park, they went on to lose the game 1-2.

Having just returned from injury, striker Christian Benteke will again be missing, as he was given a straight Red card last weekend.

Against Villa last campaign West Ham took four points away from the two meetings, as the match in East London ended goalless and at Villa Park, all three were claimed, thanks to a 2-0 victory.

Winston Reid and Diafra Sakho are likely to be restored to the starting line-up after both recovered from their respective injuries, while Andy Carroll could feature for the first time this season as he looks to regain full fitness after a long spell on the sidelines. Allardyce also has Joey O'Brien, Kevin Nolan, Cheikou Kouyate, Mauro Zarate and Ricardo Vaz Te available.

Saturday's match is a 3pm kick-off and the referee is Jonathan Moss.
