It has been confirmed tonight that Hull City have completed the signing of West Ham United midfielder Mohamed Diame on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Diame signed for the Hammers in the summer of 2012 from Wigan Athletic after the East Londoners had triggered a release clause in his contract.

Tigers' boss Steve Bruce has done the same to bring him to the KC Stadium after the Senegalese international slipped down the pecking order at Upton Park following the arrival of international teammate, Cheikou Kouyate despite the club wanting to offer the midfielder a new deal with the release clause removed.

Diame scored seven goals in all competitions for the club but after apparent interest from Liverpool has come to light earlier this summer, his performance levels appeared to drop after he was denied a move to Anfield.

Ironically, he could make his Hull debut against the Irons when they travel to Yorkshire on 15 September..
