It's finally that time of year again; the Barclays Premier League fixtures are announced at 9am tomorrow and Hammers' fans will be itching to see who they will kick-off their 2014/15 season against.

Despite starting the season with two clean sheets, it turned out to be a tough campaign for Sam Allardyce's men last term, as only nine more triumphs followed.

It was thanks to a run in February which saw them win all four games in the month, that effectively secured their top-flight status and they finished with a total of 40 points.

A lot has happened at Upton Park so far this summer. There were serious doubts over Big Sam's future, because some fans were calling for him to be replaced. As the Board had done so throughout last season, they have continued to back their man, but have given him certain targets which he must achieve if he is to have his contract extended beyond the forthcoming term.

Once it was agreed between Allardyce and the co-owners that he would bring in an attacking coach, he immediately set his mind to the task of identifying names. It was just over a week later when former player Teddy Sheringham was appointed to fill the role on a part-time basis. It was also stated that a top ten finish this season is essential.

The manager was quick to bring in one new face in former Birmingham City forward Mauro Zarate before pre-season has even got underway. It is now being widely speculated that another could be on his way through the entrance door in East London before the team heads off for their tours of both Germany and New Zealand for training camps and friendly matches in July.

One of the major problems last season surrounded the lack of strikers but it is hoped that Andy Carroll will be fully fit for the opening match on the weekend of August 16 and depending on whether Allardyce will change his style of play, could Zarate join him upfront? The answer will be revealed when the action commences!

Details of dates and key fixtures will be announced on this site as soon as they are revealed.
