West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has put his focus on identifying a striker this transfer window and the latest name to be linked with the East London club is that of Chelsea's Salomon Kalou.

The club are trying to find a prolific front man but have had bids for Rangers Nikica Jalovic and Huddersfield Town's Jordan Rhodes knocked back.

It remains to be seen whether Kalou will drop down to the championship and any move for the Ivory Coast striker will be a loan deal until the end of the season.
