As per yesterday when the piece of transfer news implying that Mervan Celik was being linked with a January move to West Ham United, today it appears that Sam Allardyce is looking at more options to try and bolster the squad as the club look for an immediate return to the Barclays Premier League.

According to this week's Football League paper, the player in question is Stevenage Borough's Craig Reid. A £600,000 bid is being speculated and if he does sign he will certainly boost the managers options as he can Play in attack and midfield.

Reid also played for Coventry City and if he was the subject of a possible bid from Upton Park, he could make his debut against his former club when the Sky Blues arrive in East London on January 2.
