According to today's Sun, Carlos Tevez could make a sensational return to West Ham United.

Tevez was involved in a controversy on Tuesday night as he apparently refused to play when asked to come on as a second half substitute in Manchester City's 2-0 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

The paper claims a West Ham insider contacted the Blues over a three-month loan move for the Argentine striker.

Tevez spent the 2006/07 season on a year-long loan at Upton Park and when he was given a run in the side became a hero with the Hammers' fans.

However, after this report was published it has been learned that City have rejected any approach as they have suspended the player because of his behaviour on Tuesday night and they want to deal with any legal action before they move him on.

If the East London club are still interested and do make a bid after legal action has been dealt with then questions have to be asked about whether the player would want to play in the Championship following their relegation from the Barclays Premier League, given that there is also interest from both Milan clubs in Italy and French club Paris St Germain.
