Several written and visual media sources are claiming that Turkish club Galatasaray have made an undisclosed bid for West Ham United striker Carlton Cole. Although the transfer window has now closed in Britain Turkish club's can still make their moves until 10 PM UK time on Monday. The Istanbul outfit have not qualified for Europe this season and want Cole to bolster their strikeforce in order to help them get into a European qualification place for next season.
Cole, who has already got 3 goals in as many starts this season, is understood to be keen on a move abroad but the final decision lies with manager Sam Allardyce and whether he wants to let the striker go. The transfer window has already meant the loss of one of the clubs key players in Scott Parker to North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday and with Cole in the form he's in, the fans will surely not want to lose another vital cog in their quest for an immediate return to the Barclays Premier league.
